Your solar return is the chart of the exact moment the sun returns to the same position it was in when you were born. So every year around your birthday, there is a moment where the sun is in the exact same degree as your natal sun.
This moment creates a new chart, and this becomes an energetic blueprint for the year ahead. It is energy from birthday to birthday, it reflects the themes, lessons and focus of that year.
As always it never replaces your birth chart, this is leading and the solar chart layers on top of it. It is not about prediction it is about understanding what life is inviting you into.
A solar return chart can help you understand why a certain year feels the way it does, why some years feel very social, others more inward, others more emotional or intense and it gives context. So instead of resisting what’s happening, you can actually work with it.
A year focused on career vs a year focused on home. A year of rest vs a year of expansion. Every year has a different intention and the solar return chart helps you see what that intention is.
