San Pedro is also known as aguacolla and wachuma, it is a cactus native to the Andean mountains. The experience with this plant is heart opening, similar to molly and mushrooms in a way. But different.
Thankfully I was able to experience this beautiful medicine two times in different scenarios and ceremonies but with the most beautiful curranderas Eilen and Satya.
In this photo above you can see me together with the San Pedro cactus. First experience was as a gate keeper during my time as a volunteer at Gaia Sagrada and later in a sweat lodge, temazcal in Ayampe.
San Pedro or aguacolla has shown me a lot of clarity, things just make sense. Everything comes together. It is such a beautiful medicine. It can feel a little bit uncomfortable in the body, I felt very connected to my body and all the sensations.
Additionally the beauty of the world was very clear, the nature, the trees and flowers. Sounds were more intensified and you could feel them within the body. During the sound healing I recieved some visions from the medicine.
After my first ceremony when I finished my “work” we chatted, sat with tarot and astrology. Everything just made so much sense. It was magic. The connection was just so clear. Lots of messages came through for all of us.
My second experience was during the sweatlodge / temascal, which during I did not feel the effects as clearly since my focus was on the heat and people around me. There was a men inappropreatly touching me on my leg and another men close to me screaming, so it was a lot. When we got birthed and left the temascal, I started to feel the effects of the medicine more strongly. Had some food and drinks.
We went to the beach and took our time to eat a bit more, to chat, to connect to the ocean. Again the clarity was beautiful. I love this part of the medicine and I have sat with San Pedrito twice but this was a repeated experience. We chatted, went to the casita, took our time and stayed awake until 4am.
To connect to nature, to enjoy sound healing with visions, to see clearly. To enjoy senses. It is beautiful. I am exited to sit with this beautiful plant again one day!
