Kambo is intense but fast. The unpleasant effects are strong and immediate, lasting for around 10/15 minutes. The entire ceremony usually last 2/3 hours.
Dried Kambo is mixed with a small amount of water and divided into small dots. Then these little dots – called gates – are placed on the skin.
With an incense, the first layer of the skin is burned, which is removed (to give you an idea, a tattoo is on the 3rd layer of the skin), there is no blood, it is a very simple procedure.
The number of points or gates is determined by the applicator at the time of the ceremony.
Through the skin it is the only way to take Kambo safely, it is not safe to ingest or enter the bloodstream directly.
The Kambo enters directly into the lymphatic system and the effect is very fast. You feel a heat that rises, the cardiac system is activated, people react in different ways, some feel dizzy, others swell, others feel tingling in the skin.
The intention of the Kambo is to scan the entire physical, mental, emotional and spiritual system and then address the areas to be worked on.
The Kambo is not a psychoactive, it does not produce hallucinations or visions.
And then they begin to eliminate all the toxins by means of a purge (vomit) of water with toxins.
Other forms of purging that occur are going to the bathroom where diarrhea occurs, sweating, having a lot of saliva, or crying.
After this work you can feel tired, given all the work done and you are invited to rest for a while.
