Walking home from a workshop a few months ago, I had one of those moments of deep clarity. I realized something so simple, yet so powerful: I’d want to be friends with me.
If I met myself at a café, or at an event, I’d genuinely like me. I’d want to sit down and talk. I’d feel drawn to my energy.
We see in others what we are, don’t we? I see a lover – always helping, always showing up with quiet care, filling needs before I even speak them. And I realize, I’m that person too. I care deeply. I show up. I bring light where I can.
Earlier I shared on Instagram about “zooming out” – how sometimes it helps to remember that we’re just humans on a floating rock in an endless universe. But today I realized there’s another way to zoom out.
Imagine meeting yourself as a stranger.
Would you like yourself?
Would you want to sit with you?
Would you love your energy?
I can finally say yes. And that’s one of the most freeing feelings I’ve ever had.
