eating simple foods

During my travels I love to find hostels with kitchens and cook my own meals. This makes me feel at home and calm. I rented a room in Buritaca (Colombia) for a while and here I cooked lots of veggies and lentils, my friend here said you eat simple. This made me think.

When I travel I buy limited foods since I move around a lot and do not want to take a lot of stuff with me all the time. It would be a dream to have a place to live again and create kombucha and sourdough breads but that is a vision for a future time.

Although good quality olive oil, tahini and healthy fats are important. It is nice to live a simple life with foods. I do not limit my spending’s or carrying food around when it comes to my health, I do still purchase some “nice” things but I limit my options. I buy one spread or one type of nuts at the time.

Quinoa or rice with veggies and a source of protein is to me one of the best simple meals. This makes you feel strong and good. While not needing much ingredients. A bit of garlic, ginger and herbs and done!
