This is a collective transit and usually has generational impact. In this case for me it is also highly personal.
With a natal Neptune in Aquarius (early degrees), we are among a generation being initiated into deep questions of vision, power, illusion, truth, and collective transformation.
Neptune in Aquarius (1998–2012 generation) brought dreams of connection, technology, spirituality, idealism, and innovation into the collective unconscious. It carries both Utopian visions and disillusionment around collective structures and digital worlds.
Now with Pluto in Aquarius (2023–2044) slowly crossing this Neptune point it can bring different things.
Spiritual disillusionment or awakening: what once felt magical or ideal may fall apart, only to be reborn in truth.
Deconstruction of collective dreams: Illusions around community, technology, or Utopian ideals are being pierced. You may become more realistic and empowered in how you approach spirituality, activism, or your dreams for the future.
Awakening hidden power in visions: Pluto unearths what’s buried, so you might discover long-lost dreams, psychic sensitivities, or spiritual callings that feel powerful.
Pluto transiting your Neptune is slow, subtle, and rarely loud. But it shifts the lens through which you perceive reality. It’s generational, but if it touches other planets (like the Moon, Sun, Mercury…), it becomes more personal.
Which is what happens to me. I have an aspect pattern called a Kite where Neptune is part of. Neptune connects in sextile with Pluto and Saturn who make a big trine with my Sun. Neptune makes an opposition with my Sun.
Pluto touching my natal Neptune means this whole kite is activated. Neptune is personalized through its opposition to your Sun. Neptune is the focal planet (the tip of the kite), meaning it’s the key outlet for the deep Saturn–Pluto–Sun energies.
Pluto conjunction with Neptune: this is the main pressure point.
- My dreams, visions, imagination (Neptune) are being purged and reborn (Pluto)
- I may feel like old ideals no longer inspire you
- I may experience deep creative or spiritual openings, or conversely, emptiness and confusion, depending on where you’re at in the cycle
- This can manifest in things like:
- Ending or transforming my relationship with plant medicine or spirituality
- Shedding false spiritual identities
- Grieving the loss of a “dream” or narrative I once believed in
- Sudden intuitive downloads that change everything
The Neptune opposition Sun is out of sign, which means it is not a direct opposition. I already went through my Pluto opposition Sun. This is now a little bit activated but it is not the main transit focus I feel.
During Pluto opposition Sun:
- You are likely undergoing a massive identity shift
- It can feel like you’re losing yourself… and you are, but it’s the egoic self, the false constructs
- Pluto opposite Sun is a soul call to power, not dominance, but inner truth and regeneration
- Your life direction, confidence, and purpose are being confronted by forces larger than you
Pluto’s transit reactivates my natal trines from Saturn and Pluto to Neptune.
This means:
- My spiritual discipline (Saturn) and healing/transformational capacity (Pluto) are being elevated
- I may be given new responsibility in your spiritual path
- Old systems and structures (Saturn) are dissolving, and you’re being asked to build new ones
- I may be drawn to deep practices: shamanism, trauma healing, shadow work, mysticism, but with new depth
My Neptune is being rewritten, and Saturn + Pluto are your tools and scaffolding for that process.
- A period of soul searching, not surface-level, but existential
- A breakdown of old spiritual beliefs or visions
- An upwelling of collective grief or past life emotions
- Profound dreams, synchronicities, or symbolic material rising from the unconscious
- Feeling both more intuitive and more uncertain
- Pull toward a new form of service, healing, or creativity
- A time of solitude, integration, or metamorphosis after years of activity
Pluto doesn’t give easy gifts, but it strips away everything false, so the real can grow.
Of course we can add the placements: signs and houses to make this more detailed and layered. But for now I am leaving this blog as it is.
Do you have this Pluto x Neptune transit too? Do you feel it? ★
