The sacred valley in Peru is a very magical place on Earth. I spend a few weeks here exploring different towns and places! Just noting down what I would recommend, places to stay, eat and what to do, enjoy! I will have to say Ollantaytambo was the prettiest and most relaxed place I visited, Urubamba is the perfect spot for doing trips around and Pisaq is a spiritual hub that has become very commercialized.
Ollantaytambo
✦ Stay: hostal Chaska Wasi, this place was fine, a bit intense to stay here with the lady she talks a lot but the all girls room is amazing!
✦ Latente specialty coffee: THE best cafe
✦ ALQA – Museo de Arte Popular Andino
✦ Sunshine Cafe
✦ Ollantaytambo Archeological Site
✦ Depositos de Pinkuylluna (free)
✦ CHUNCHO: delicous food, it is truly an experience but a bit pricy
✦ Santuario: amazing place to sit down and they have wraps for 15 soles (veggie)
✦ On the square there are many tourist menus that include soup or guac and then quinoa or something else with veggies for 14 soles!
Urubamba
✦ Stay: Hostel Arcoiris, which was a small hostel with a local family. They can give you many tips and are kind.
✦ Migas del Valle: best place in town for food, bakery with amazing bread and a menu for 24 soles
✦ Monkey Coffee Coworking: delicious pure cacao and good wifi
✦ Stay: Chaska Valle green, one night a bit more fancy including a nice garden and hammocks
✦ Kumi Shop: super nice organic shop for food products but also skin care
✦ AMA Restaurant Urubamba: with veggie options, not the best food but the garden is amazing
✦ Salt Mine of Maras
✦ Moray
✦ Day trip to Chinchero
Pisaq
✦ Stay: Aqui y Ahora, a hostel with one room for 4 girls and a living room. I stayed here alone and I truly loved it.
✦ Stay: La Casa de Adela Hospedaje, recommended to me by others
✦ Migas Del Valle: good bakery and they also sell cacao, kombucha and even frozen falafel which was great
✦ Lavanderia Cascada Yaku: great place for laundry
✦ Sacred Sushi & Curry Sunday: THE best place for food in town
✦ Apu Organic Nativo – Pisac Vegan Restaurant
✦ SolSeed – School & Cafe, Pisac
✦ Masa mamita: cafe and bakery
✦ Kula Cafe and Restaurant: nice place for working and food
✦ Cultura Viviente – Living Culture
✦ El Café Feliz
✦ Parque Arqueológico Pisac
This was also my order to be honest I think it is better to start in Pisaq and move to Ollantaytambo, since that is the most beautiful one. In Pisaq I also got very ill so I did not do any of the hikes in the area, which apparently are beautiful!
