The blood releasing from your body during menstruation is sacred. In some traditions it is even used in rituals. It is life-giving, full of nutrients and energetically potent.
Unlike other forms of blood, menstrual blood is not from injury – it is the shedding of the uterine lining. It is blood that carries the possibility of life.
The bleed marks the end of a cycle and the beginning of a new one. It is letting go, clearing out the old and making space. It is a mini-death where you release emotions, energy and karma.
