It is the bodies way of cleansing, physically, energetically and emotionally. You release all that you do not need anymore, your thoughts, emotions, energy and patterns. It is a death and rebirth cycle. You release and that creates space for what is next.
The intuition is heightened, the veil is thinner, you are more attuned to dreams, energies and inner guidance. That is also why it is the best time to make choices and decisions while you bleed. It is truly a portal to the unconscious, a womb portal.
In many indigenous cultures (native America, Celtic) menstruating woman were seen as powerful, wise and spiritually tuned in. There were moon lodges or red tents – which were quiet spaces to rest, bleed and receive visions for their tribe.
Woman were seen as oracles and wisdom keepers. Remember.
