When triggers come, when things happen, when the nervous system panics… This can feel so difficult, it can feel like the world is ending and you can not breath.
First step: awareness of the fact that you are dis regulated. Second step is to breathe. Third step is what can we do to help.
Last week I was so dis regulated, this week there were moments again. I took a deep breath. Decided to do some yoga, move my body. Eat some carbs and grounding food. Then I still felt the energy a little stuck and I did some dancing.
I was ok again. I saw clarity again.
It is a shift from panic to presence, from contraction to clarity. This is huge. It takes inner strength and practice.
Move through the waves – they will pass. Everything is temporary.
Figure out what works for you, breathing exercises, writing, a cup of tea, yoga, running, dancing – there are so many options. Slowing down or movement. Expression.
Move. You will be ok.
