Malaysia travel guide

1 month of traveling through Malaysia was just wonderful. The nature is so beautiful and the people are super friendly.

I spend 6 days in Kuala Lumpur, which was too much, I could recommend 1 maybe 2 days maximum. But there are some nice things to do and to visit.

KL:
CookieCrumbs – amazing cookies
LaGula by the Hungry Tapir – vegan restaurant
Rexkl – a cool art exhibition and a big book store
Niko Neko matcha – amazing matcha in town
RAW juicery eatery – amazing bowls
Timothy cafe – good place for breakfast
Mingle hostel – good place for food and including vegan options
Eye smart vision enterprise – cheap prescription glasses
2nd street bundle shop – very good thrifting shop and cheap

Our next stop was Taman Negara national park. This rain forest is just unbelievable. A must visit. We did two tours, the waterfall one and the boat ride. Especially the boat ride was just unbelievable. Ann restaurant is the best place to eat in town.

Up next were the cameron highlands, the hidden lab was such a cute coffee spot. For the best Chinese food we went to Mee Tarik Pak Li. Also the Jade Vine Cafe was super cute.

Penang or Georgetown was another stop on our trip, here there are many cafes and amazing places to eat.
Kommune Lebuh – store with products for conscious living and a vegan restaurant
Vegan Falafel penang
Neko Vegan House – amazing food and such kind people
Ee Beng Vegetarian Food – a buffet with many options
Komichi Tea House
Orcabrew – a cafe filled with orca themed things
Susu vegan Mylk Bar – amazing vegan burgers and mocktails

The rest of my time I spend on Langkawi. Back in 2023 we visited Perhentian Islands and here I can only recommend this eco lodge on the beach. This is called: Keranji Beach Resort.

In Langkawi I spend 2 weeks in the best hostel called Bunga hostel, it is for female only but Nadia the owner she created a beautiful safe space.

Places to eat and things to do in Langkawi:
Indiana vegan Cafe – amazing spot on the island for good food
Bella restaurant – good place for local breakfast including roti and coconut milk rice
Jomakan Langkawi – good local food
Island Kitchen – amazing food here
Satu Cinta – place for coffee and lunch
Nian Cafe – amazing vegan food including sushi

Dream forest – learn about the mythical part of Langkawi
Seven wells waterfall – beautiful , 3 waterfalls to explore

Tanjung Rhu Beach
You can do an island beach hopping tour, this is very nice
We also visited one of the art cafes, where you can paint, very nice also
