By using the equal house system – the Ascendant – is an important point. The degree of the AC is the start of the first house. The houses are equal size from this point onward.
The astrological houses are divided into 12 pieces. Every piece or house represents a different area. What sign rules over which house can tell you something about how you express yourself in this area of life, what energies are there for you and what can feel like “home” for you. The planets in each house represent another layer of information on how this planet expresses itself – in which area of life.
