Wow how I love love loved visiting Beijing. What a special city. Very big but very beautiful. To be a white person in China is unique – people are very interested in you but not in a rude way.
Some of our favorite places to visit included the Chinese wall and this amazing veggie restaurant called Baiyi Vegetables Lanzhou Sulamian.
The Chinese wall is a couple hours drive from the city but totally worth it. We went together with Joe who organizes tours. You can find him on Instagram here.
The summer castle is beautiful – same for the Qianhai lake. Here you can also do some very nice tea ceremonies. There is fun live music and good tofu to be found.
