There are four aspects of the mind according to yoga.
Ahamkara – the ego – your uniqueness, personality
Buddhi – wisdom, intelligence
Chitta – memory bank
Manas – lower mind, reception
Ahamkara
The ego is something positive in this sense. They could not translate it in any other way from Sanskrit. In one way everyone is right, everyone is unique. By physical, color, etc. and being unique is good. We can not change. We can accept.
Buddhi
When something comes to the mind Buddhi decides what is right and wrong. It is like a judge in the mind. What is good and bad. You are already experienced. By power of the universe. If we ask a question in meditation, we get guide line from the Buddhi.
Mind > mobile / computer. The mind is bigger. It is connected. It is made by the universe. Computer is human mind made. We get reply from the computer – our mind can not reply. Buddhi has the total answer. You can not ignore them.
Chitta
Big store. Many files. A lot of pace to store files and memories. All the past lives are stored. Reminders come into meditations. Which file you want to open, you need to click on open. It is like the energy of a child, whatever file you send, Chitta will store, good or bad.
Manas
Reception to ask questions. You are welcome. They are the outside antennas. It is the monitor for the 10 senses. First goes to Manas and will send to the other parts of the brain.
The tip of my teacher Richi was:
Ask the questions to your own super computer – your Buddhi mind knows all.
