I spend over 2 months in Pokhara in Nepal. There is many activities to do and places to go. The lake side part feels like a small town where travelers meet and enjoy the beauty and hospitality of this country.
Spending 2 months in the same place was wonderful. I finished a YTTC at the Pokhara Yoga School. This was amazing. I did some hiking and worked on my astrology project. Perfect things to do on my Mercury MC line.
Places I stayed in these 2 months:
Kiwi Backpackers Hostel: 7/10 – it is a nice hostel with a good rooftop. Here you can actually see the mountains on a good day. It is a very social hostel if you want to meet other travelers. The thing I did not like was the amount of smoking that was going on, nor the fact that the rooftop was quite loud at night. The breakfast was included but for the same price you can also stay in a hotel with a private room. The hostel is also far away from lake side and the walk at night is a bit scary.
Nature Peace Hotel: 6/10 – it is a cheap and nice hotel (6 euro per night). It is on the total other side then kiwi, but still a bit of a walk. It is more peaceful, you can hear the dogs at night but for the rest it is quite. It was clean as can be. But not really new.
Zostel: 6/10 – the hostel is nice, even more of a walk then nature peace lodge, but on the same side of town. It has a lot of potential but it is not very clean. Although I did store my luggage here for over a week so that was nice. They also have good food and they are very kind. You can do a lot of dancing here.
Hotel Harmony: 8/10 – I loved staying here. I ended up staying for 3 weeks and it was very good. The place is clean and nice. The owner is friendly but smokes a lot of weed. The rooftop of this hotel is amazing and I managed to make a deal for 800NPR per night for my own room. Happy with my stay here.
One place my friend stayed which I think is the best in town, but more on the pricier side. Is Hotel Blossom.
